Mike Ballard

Mike started Alliance Wealth Management Group, LLC in 2002 with one primary purpose in mind: To serve the unique needs of those who are in or nearing retirement by creating holistic, custom strategies that breed financial confidence. That remains the firm’s mission today.

Prior to starting Alliance, Mike worked for Protective Life Corporation in Birmingham for 18 years. He served as a Vice President of Marketing for Protective and as President and CEO of its broker-dealer, ProEquities, Inc. Mike is a veteran of the financial services business, having amassed nearly four decades of industry experience.

While busy at work, Mike also served his community for many years at Children’s Hospital of Alabama as President of the Foundation Board and also as member of the Board of Trustees.

Heather Hernandez

As an Investment Adviser Representative and Planner, she uses her vast experience to assist individuals and families with comprehensive financial planning, with a concentration in retirement income planning and investing. Heather has a particular interest in helping women with their financial future through informational workshops. Her deep understanding of the financial issues women face makes her passionate about the education women need to have a confident financial future.

Katherine Ballard

Katherine has an extensive background in finance having worked in the financial field since receiving her Master of Accounting (MAcc) in 2011. As an Investment Adviser Representative and Planner, having passed her Series 65 in 2022, she uses her education and professional background to assist families that are near or already in retirement. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys travel, spending time with her family, and volunteering with her church.
